Why You Need CIPAFilter Anti-spam.

Most traditional Anti-Spam systems use a lot of techniques to identify Spam mail as it traverses the network. Each e-mail is categorized as possible Spam using a variety of methods to identify each particular message.

Because many Anti-Spam systems generate false positives (block legitimate e-mail), they come packaged with lots of management tools, configuration, and a variety of ways to attempt to "categorize" each e-mail as a Spam message. Some products take an extreme approach and induce white-lists and black-lists for the individual users and clients and complicated configuration and extensive management tools. The concept of grey-listing is not to block e-mail, but rather cleverly utilize a built-in mail protocol function to prevent most spam by attacking the way spammers send junk mail. The actual concept in itself has flaws and needed to be modified while developing the system. In short, most e-mail messages are briefly delayed if not recognized. This delay prevents illegitimate e-mails from passing through from mis-configured e-mail servers while allowing all legitimate e-mail to safely pass through.

The technology has been designed to virtually eliminate false positives, block more spam mail than any other system, and allow users to safely unsubscribe to any remaining unwanted e-mails if necessary.
